Coins for Clean Water
In May 2009 we were emotionally and spiritually touch by Nancy Bolton, founder of Women Making A Difference, when she shared her story about the absence of water in Ghana, West Africa. There, water, clean water, clean drinking water is far from reality. We realized that in the Garden Centre we just open the tap to water our plants and think nothing of it; we have taken it for granted. We have now teamed up with Women Making A Difference and I.N. Network, an international mission organization, to Collect Coins for Water in Ghana and drill another well. When you come to the Garden Centre, please ask for a bottle of water for your consumption. When empty, please fill the empty bottle with coins and return it to the Garden Centre at your earliest convenience but before January 2011. We will match all of the coins that are collected so that Nancy can take the sum with her when she goes to Ghana in February 2011.
